New-Food Innovation builds the bridge between the innovation community, suppliers and the consumer food market. Their expertise across all three sectors provides long-term innovation solutions.
They combine their extensive industry know how with emerging science and innovation to transform existing markets and create entirely new market sectors within the food and Fast Moving Consumer Goods arenas.
The New Food Innovation Ltd team are experts with many decades of experience in delivering food innovations that are enabled by translating research and matching fit-for-purpose technologies to new food products and brands so that unique market opportunities are realised at local and global levels.
As a group they have created in excess of forty-five patents, introduced over forty first-to-market technologies and between 2011, when NFI started, and 2013 they have developed over £3 million of collaborative research investment in food innovation projects.
Examples of their projects include; the development of the production and market for fermented propionic acid market worth in the region of £75 million per year; establishing the white wheat fibre derived from grain supply chain by-product market worth £400 million per year; and helping to develop the first functional tea drink for weight management that has now been launched in 12 countries.
