As part of SynbiCITE’s aim to drive the UK’s commercialisation of Engineering Biology, we will be running our Synbio Business Basics course for academics, researchers, students and others wishing to start-up a company in the area engineering biology (synthetic biology).

The course will be interactive and will focus on early-stage company development taught by experts. The topics covered will include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up a company
• IP
• Business Plan
• Funding
• Market
• Pitching

The course is designed for attendees who have either recently started companies or are in the process of forming a company in synthetic biology/engineering biology.

Ideally, each company attending the course will be represented by a team of two or three participants.
