SynbiCITE and Business Reporter release 'Nature Knows Best' Synthetic Biology Documentary
- Posted on 25 August, 2016
As part of our commitment to communicate the benefits of Synthetic Biology to both industry and the wider public, SynbiCITE has produced the documentary ‘Nature Knows Best’ in partnership with Business Reporter magazine.
Join presenter Alastair Greener as he explores the ways scientists and industry are using Synthetic Biology – the engineering of biology – to help create a greener, healthier world.
Synthetic biology is at the cutting edge of how we protect our health and treat disease, with innovative companies around the world using the discipline to create new medicines and facilitate the production of existing medicines that are in short supply, such as vaccines.
Synthetic biology also has the potential to create increasingly efficient alternatives to fossil-fuel, reducing both our dependence on non-renewable resources and our contribution towards man-made climate change. Synthetic biology can also help us protect our environment by reducing industrial and household waste through decreased consumption and increased recycling.
If you’d like to find out more about what synthetic biology is and it’s potential to change our world for the better, you can watch the documentary below. You can also read more about the applications of synthetic biology on the SynbiCITE website.
