Touchlight is very pleased to welcome Dr. Geoff Smith as the Head of Innovations. Geoff brings extensive experience in genomics technologies and applications, with roles including Vice President leading Technology Development at Illumina and CEO of Cambridge Epigenetix.

Geoff is a world expert in genomics technologies and their applications. He spent more than 10 years working at Solexa/Illumina, where he led the invention of many aspects of the core SBS sequencing chemistry, workflows and platforms, becoming Vice President leading Technology Development globally and clinical product development for cell-free DNA testing in pregnancy (NIPT). After leaving Illumina, Geoff was CEO of Cambridge Epigenetix, a spin-out from Cambridge University, and now works closely with a number of biotech companies in the genomics space.
